Butaney is licensed in Arizona and New York as a Psychologist. He is the former Program Dean for Clinical Psychology at the Arizona School of Professional Psychology, and continues to teach and conduct research in Psychology as an Associate Professor at Midwestern University located in Glendale, AZ.
Dr. Butaney received his PhD in Clinical
Psychology from St. John’s University and an EdM from Harvard University with all course work in the area of Human
Development and Psychology.
Prior to moving to Arizona from New York, Dr. Butaney was an Assistant
Dean and Program Director at the Derner Institute for Advanced Psychological
Studies (Adelphi University), where he taught as a full-time and
adjunct faculty member.
While in New York, Dr. Butaney also served as a Senior
Psychologist and Director of Externship Training at Jacobi Medical
Center, and worked as a Senior Consulting Psychologist at
R.G. Psychological Services and the Parker Jewish Institute.
